Finally, A new blog.

It’s been a long time between blogs, actually, nearly twelve months. During this time, life threw me massive spiky curve balls. I’m working my way back from the hell of losing my darling husband. But he made me promise to live my best life. And to never ever give up writing my books. And he told me I could still use him as a template for my heroes. How could I tell him no?

My website

What did they say in the movie, Field of Dreams, starring Kevin Costner. “If you build it, they will com.” Well, with help from fabulous people, my website, was created, published, found a few followers, then disappeared. Unperturbed, my fabulous people, Patty, from Fresh and Preppy, and Aditya scaled designs, found it, published it, only to find out that site I used is closing down. So, once again, I’m back to square one. I was hoping to keep my domain, but that didn’t work for me, so I’m starting fresh. My new web address is www.rosiemiles.net. Hopefully, it will decide it likes being live and won’t go hiding. My thanks to my friend, Magic Jackie Matjasec, for creating this site.

What’s going on with Rosie.

I’m going to attend the Village Book Fair, at the Beenleigh Historical Village and Museum on Saturday 13th June from Ten am. Come say hi, and if you haven’t already, you can purchase a copy of my books.

May was a busy month. I went on a three-day cruise with my lifelong girlfriends. Mother Nature threw rotten weather and rough seas at us. But we rallied on regardless.

Later that month, another three-day getaway, with two gorgeous women, I’m hopefully growing into lifetime friendships with. We went down to Broadbeach for the Blues Festival. And again, Mother Nature decided wet miserable weather was called for. We had a fabulous time. Great music, great company, Boozy Brunch, spa day, and I met the heroine for my next book. Overall, a great few days.

IDEAS.

I always have ideas for a new book. The trouble is, sometimes, no, all the time, I think about it rather than actually write it. Atm, I’m finishing my latest manuscript, that’s been on the back burner for the past twelve months. It’s Romantic Suspense, of course. A Witness Protection Story.

Years ago, when I worked at Police HQ in the city, I crafted a short story. It was difficult finding out if my ideas were workable. It took heaps of phone calls to different departments, no one would help. After numerous attempts, a high-ranking officer was willing to answer yes or no questions. From that, I completed my short story. Years later, it has become the inspiration for a full-length novel. I love the characters I’ve developed for this book. My hero’s name is Eden. A few of my friends who have read it suggested it’s a feminine name and recommended I change it. That gutted me, but thought, it’s only a name, right? Wrong. The minute I changed his name, the story ideas stalled. Finally, I’m back with Eden. He’s happy with that. I’m happy with that. So, I’ll just go finish that.

Till next time, remember,

Life is to be lived,

Go live yours.
